1、分配单元
分配单元（ Allocation Unit ） 是 1M，这个 AU 对应 extent 。在一些 DW 环境，随着数据量增大，AU 会非常的多，会产生性能影响。
2、其存储文件的基本单位
硬盘的文件分布在不同的分区(Partition)中，其存储文件的基本单位(Allocation Unit)磁簇（Cluster）的扇区数也不相同，也就是说，不同的分区会产生不同的磁簇（Cluster）。
3、由基本单位
在MS-DOS的FAT表中文件占用存储空间的大小，是由基本单位（Allocation Unit）磁簇的数目来决定的，假如分区的碰簇数小于4095则使用12bit的FAT表。若分区的磁簇数大于4095则使用 16bit的FAT表。
